Since 2019, Noctem Group has co-produced the annual YPC gala for Gabrielle's Angel Foundation — from the inaugural Midsummer Angel Gala to the Young Angels Gala — raising over one million dollars for cancer research and music therapy.
Gabrielle's Angel Foundation is a leading nonprofit dedicated to funding cancer research, with a focus on finding less toxic, more effective therapies. The foundation also supports music therapy programs — specifically at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center — providing bedside care to patients and families. To date, the foundation has distributed nearly $39 million in research grants.
In 2019, the foundation's newly formed Young Professionals Committee (YPC) launched its inaugural gala to engage the next generation of philanthropists. Noctem Group's Alexander Ulvsgard served as Gala Co-Chair from the beginning, helping shape the event from concept to execution year after year. The inaugural Midsummer Angel Gala was held on June 24, 2019 at The Fleur Room (Moxy Hotel, Chelsea), where approximately 250 guests were transported into a whimsical midsummer garden. Hosted by YouTube star Twan Kuyper and honoring designer Andrew Warren, the event smashed its fundraising goals.
The gala has grown every year since. Renamed the Young Angels Gala in 2025, the event has been held at prestigious venues across New York including the Classic Car Club (2022) and The Crane Club (2026). Notable hosts and committee members across the years include Emira D'Spain, Gaia Matisse, Abigail Breslin, Hayley Hasselhoff, Ming Lee Simmons, Angela Simmons, Conor Kennedy, and Serena Kerrigan.
The YPC relationship has extended beyond the annual gala, including the Fall Gala with Porsche as presenting sponsor, where Porsche Cars North America displayed vehicles including their iconic NATO Green 911 Turbo S. Over seven years, the event has raised over $1 million for cancer research and music therapy — a testament to sustained commitment and growing impact.
